Photos from Bishops' Conference of Scotland's post

The Bishops’ Conference of Scotland Office for the Care of Creation held its annual Season of Creation Conference at Eyre Hall on Saturday, bringing together around 60 participants for a day of reflection, discussion and action on care for our common home.

The keynote speaker was Dr Lorna Gold, Executive Director of the global Laudato Si’ Movement, who called for a renewed “conversion of heart” in response to the ecological crisis. She told those gathered that “the scream of nature is ‘stop’” and challenged Scotland, as the country that gave birth to the steam engine revolution, to now lead an ecological revolution.

Those attending also heard presentations on integral ecology, involving young people in care for creation, the work of Eco-Congregation Scotland, and the People’s Emergency Briefing film.
